Requirement.
To install a new pedestrian foot bridge to access the central
platform.
A
new footbridge at Norton Bridge required a topographical survey
to design and arrange crane access to the site. With trains
speeds over 100mph, working safely on stations and track surveys
is of paramount importance. Every team member is fully trained
in personal trackside safety and awareness. |
|
 |
The
platforms could be surveyed during daylight hours.
Using the Reflectorless mode, measurements could be taken
safely to the overhead power lines and the existing footbridge. |
|
 |
The
car park, adjacent Water Authority compound, and highway were
also included. The compound was surveyed without access being
necessary, thus avoiding the need to arrange a key holder.
Again this was achieved using Reflectorless technology. Accuracy
was maintained, and the necessary information was produced
for the client. |
|
 |
200m
metres of track in each direction was also required. This
had to be surveyed during Engineering hours, which included
two Saturday Night possessions.
We
have also recently carried out a full survey of Sohlihull
and Apsley Stations.Current work includes Camden and Soho
Depots, Apsley and Stoke Stations.
