Woodbridge GPS SERVICES TOPOGRAPHICAL SITE SURVEY

To design a new pumping station and rising main.
Date: January 2002

5km Road Survey to design and determine the route of the rising main. This will connect the new pumping station to the main system and local treatment works.

click for larger picture                      click for larger picture A full survey of the existing infrastructure was carried out to assess the necessary assign criteria.  
Checking of existing infrastructure over a large area was carried out using gps. A coding system was specially prepared to gather data more quickly. Data was correlated with invert levels and route information gathered by the survey team. The area covered included residential and public areas, and all access was managed by S.T.Associates.                                                                     back...

Wimbish SERVICES TOPOGRAPHICAL
click for larger picture A road survey was required following a survey of over 70 covers located over a wide area. Access to properties was necessary to level and position as many covers as possible.

All covers were numbered and logged. Photographs were taken to assist in gaining information quickly, and helping with witness archives of cover information gathered.                                  Os data of the site was checked and additional topographical data gathered where necessary. As such a large area was covered in 4 days. Some areas were under government control, and access to these and residential areas was managed by S.T.Associates.                                      back...
